Ultimate Vault Hunter: Big Encore may seem simple on paper-you fight Splashzone again and move on-but it introduces one of Borderlands 4 Boosting the most useful quality-of-life systems in Borderlands 4. Moxxi's machines not only let you control your farming experience but also add a fun twist with tougher Eridium-powered boss variants. Whether you're chasing platinum-tier loot or just trying to grab a specific legendary, Big Encore makes the grind smoother, faster, and more rewarding.
Borderlands 4 offers far more than just its story campaign and main missions. Once you've leveled your Vault Hunter through Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, the game opens up even more opportunities for loot, mayhem, and achievement hunting. Among these optional challenges are the world events-large-scale activities that drop you into chaotic scenarios with unique objectives and big rewards.
Currently, three major world events await players across the regions of Kairos: The Goredello, Creep Impact, and The Airship Event. Each one has its own flavor, mechanics, and strategies for climbing from bronze rank to the coveted platinum tier. If you're aiming to complete everything the game has to offer, here's a breakdown of all three events and tips to conquer them.
The Goredello World Event
Location
The Goredello event takes place in the Terminus Range region. To reach it, head northwest from the Reliquary Order Silo in the Cuspid Climb area. This event is impossible to miss once it's active, as it's housed in a massive arena built for chaos.
Gameplay Overview
The Goredello is the closest Borderlands 4 comes to recreating the beloved Slaughterdome missions from earlier entries. The setup is simple but brutal: once you enter the arena, you'll be challenged to defeat waves of enemies within a strict time limit.
As you rack up kills-roughly ten enemies per progression-the event advances you through tiers: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. The higher the tier, the better the rewards at the end of the event.
Special Challenges
It's not just about spraying bullets. Moxxi assigns bonus challenges during each round, such as:
Scoring melee kills
Blowing up enemies with explosive barrels
Using specific weapon types
Completing these objectives adds precious time to the clock, helping you stay in the fight longer.
Strategy Tips
Bring a legendary weapon like the Wombo Combo to maximize efficiency.
Enter with a high-damage build suited for crowd control.
Don't ignore Moxxi's challenges-those extra seconds often make the difference between gold and platinum.
If you clear every round at platinum rank, expect a fountain of loot and one of the most satisfying challenges the game offers.
Creep Impact World Event
Location
The Creep Impact event occurs in the Carcadia Burn region. Look for it northwest of the Makeshift Chalet Safehouse, in the Lopside section. You'll find an NPC waiting at a counter who can trigger the event once you interact.
Gameplay Overview
Once it begins, hordes of Creeps drop from the skies in massive numbers. Your task is twofold:
Eliminate Creeps as they swarm the arena.
Collect ore dropped by Creeps and deposit it into a massive cannon called Patootie.
Each round demands you to throw more ore into the cannon while still holding off enemies. Success moves you through the bronze-to-platinum tiers just like the Goredello.
Strategy Tips
Prioritize picking up ore quickly-it despawns if ignored too long.
Stay mobile; Creeps swarm aggressively and can overwhelm slow players.
Work with teammates to divide roles (some focus on killing, others on collecting ore).
The more ore you fire into Patootie, the higher your score climbs. Platinum rank comes with the best loot, so efficiency is key here.
The Airship World Event
Location
The Airship event takes place in The Flarewell, found in The Howl section of the Fadefields. To unlock it, you typically need to buy Borderlands 4 Boosting have already helped the locals at The Launchpad destroy an Order ship. Once active, look between The Launchpad and the Someday Rise Safehouse for the event's trigger.
