What makes their defense excellent to outstanding is the mistakes they make. They've made 29 turnovers, including 20 interceptions with scores on six of them. Even though this league is one of offensive teams, the Bears are probably the only defense in the league that can keep pace with the Saints in the playoffs , and that gives them a chance. The worst thing that can happen is happening to the Cowboys at the moment. They're winning. How is that bad? The reason is that Jason Garrett might keep his job if they win this year's NFC East, and Garrett is not a good choice to continue his position. I've written about this before. The offense is pretty bland. It's improved with the addition of Amari Cooper, but it's not that different. It's Amari Cooper playing. Thursday was a fantastic example. First touchdown a short catch and long run. The second touchdown was a nice catch in triple coverage and Cooper was able to get free and used his speed to make it to the goal line. Cooper's been a good first-round draft pick, and people like me who said he wasn't have to eat our words. While Cooper has made the offense better and has improved the team's overall performance, I'm not sure he's contributed to making Dak Prescott any more effective. What Cooper did is open up the run game a bit. The patchwork Cowboys offensive line was able to run well yesterday.
