Ministry of Agriculture to cooperate with government to solve low prices hitting paddy rice

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has issued a press release confirming the progress of the solution to the problem of falling rice prices in Battambang and Banteay Meanchey.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries confirmed that Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, appointed two undersecretaries of state and professional officers of the General Department of Agriculture to find ways to solve the problem.

This morning, the team arrived in Battambang province to meet with stakeholders and especially to meet with farmers.

After meeting and inspecting the actual location, Phu Puy, Director General of Green Rice Mill, volunteered to cooperate with the Royal Government in setting the policy to maintain the stability of rice prices.

At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has cooperated with the commune administration and assigned the Battambang Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to monitor this implementation.
